About 925 Sterling Silver & 18k Gold Vermeil

925 Sterling Silver means 92.5% pure silver, a true precious metal and the standard for fine jewelry. It is indicative of high quality, is less likely to tarnish, and is hypoallergenic for most people.

18-karat gold vermeil (pronounced ver-may) is a high-quality jewelry finish that offers the luxurious look of solid gold. To be considered “vermeil,” jewelry must meet specific standards and offers special benefits:

  • Base Metal: Crafted from 925 sterling silver
  • Gold Layer: Coated with a thick layer of real 18-karat gold—at least 2.5 microns thick, which is much more durable than standard gold-plating

To maximize the benefits, wear regularly like you would a watch or a wedding ring.

To resize, gently open cuff until it is just big enough to slip over your wrist sideways (not over your hand). Generally that will be a comfortable size and you can just leave it, slipping it on and off sideways over your wrist when needed.

Please follow these guidelines:

  • Do not over bend the cuff.
  • Remove cuff when swimming or in the shower and avoid exposing to significant amounts of moisture or perspiration.
  • Avoid exposure to sunscreen, perfume, cosmetics, household bleach, and other strong chemicals like alcohol which can wear away the finish over time.
